Chez TonTon
Bar and bottle shop · Pontchâteau, France
From the cold of the fridge to the warmth of the counter.
02 The project
A bar and bottle shop in Pontchâteau: beers and wines to enjoy on site or take away. The opening starts inside the fridge; a bottle lifts out of the shot, the cold light gives way to a cream beer poster, and the poster hands the scene over to the real bar.
03 The direction
- Composition
- A poster language: condensed type, cream paper, engraved hops and torn edges.
- Typography
- Bebas Neue for titles, with a letterpress grain, and Inter for text.
- Colour
- Paper, malt and burgundy, with a cold blue only in the fridge opening.
- Central gesture
- The bottle leaves the fridge and becomes a poster.

05 The motion
- 01 Fridge
- 02 Bottle
- 03 Poster
The point of view starts inside the fridge; the bottle swings up towards the camera while the fridge dissolves into paper; the glass rises in the foreground and the beer arc pours along its diagonal.
